Marie Irwin

As a Senior Workplace Relations Advisor at iHR Australia, Marie Irwin helps organisations navigate complex employment matters, manage organisational change and develop practical workplace relations strategies.

Marie brings more than 20 years’ experience working with ASX100 companies, trade unions and major law firms across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Her background includes senior employee relations roles with Woolworths, CS Energy, Caltex and Lion, with broader industry experience spanning finance, energy, retail, stevedoring, oil, supply chain and manufacturing.

Her expertise includes enterprise bargaining, complex case management and sensitive investigations into executive behaviour. She has advised executive teams and boards on closures, automation and acquisitions, and coaches bargaining teams to develop effective negotiation strategies. Marie combines legal knowledge with practical guidance to help HR and operational leaders manage performance, workplace complaints and other challenging employment matters.

Marie is a qualified lawyer admitted as a legal practitioner in the High Court of Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics with First Class Honours and a Master’s in Law and Management from the University of NSW. She also holds certifications in change management and leadership performance and is an accredited Human Synergistics coach.
