As a Consulting Psychologist and Facilitator at iHR Australia, Steven Booker helps organisations manage workplace mental health, resolve conflict and support employee wellbeing through practical advice, training and psychological support.

Steven combines experience in business and counselling psychology with HR and employment law knowledge. He began his career at Chandler Macleod, working across employee selection, change management, learning and development, and career transition. He later qualified as an employment lawyer and practised for 10 years, specialising in workplace mental health and wellbeing, before establishing his psychology practice in 2009.

His work spans coaching, mediation, employee counselling, critical incident management and team reviews. Steven helps employers and employees navigate distress, illness, injury and complex workplace situations with empathy and fairness. His approach draws on positive psychology to support constructive resolutions and respectful, non-discriminatory outcomes.

An engaging speaker and facilitator, Steven delivers training on managing mental health at work, building resilience and supporting work-life balance. He has facilitated workplace mental health training for organisations including Google in Sydney and is co-author of the Portner Press Mental Health at Work guide for managers and HR professionals.
